FORT WORTH – Officials at Texas Motor Speedway have announced that seven members of the Robertson family will serve in honorary positions for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Duck Commander 500 on April 11.
The Robertson family will play a vital role in the pre-race activities that lead up to the Duck Commander 500, which will be NASCAR’s first nighttime race of the season, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Fox.
Officials said that Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck/Buck Commander, will welcome the NASCAR fans prior to the start of the race. His brother Jase will announce the top-10 starting lineup for the NASCAR Sprint Cup event, which is considered to be Texas’ largest-attended, single-day sporting event.
Sadie, the daughter of Willie and Korie, will deliver the invocation while her cousin Reed will perform the national anthem.
Uncle Si will serve as the grand marshal and will give the command for the drivers to fire up their engines.
Alan, the oldest and beardless brother of the Robertson family, will drive the pace car and lead the 43-car field to the green flag.
Finally, Phil, who is the family patriarch, will be the honorary starter and will wave the green flag to start the Duck Commander 500.
