The St. Nicholas Church, built in the 1970s, was abandoned and left to deteriorate for years before this couple found it, fell in love with it, and purchased it.
Even though the church had a yard full of headstones, the couple wanted to make it their permanent home. What they transformed it into is absolutely breathtaking.
The restorations that took place to transform this old church into a livable home were as follows: restoring vaulted ceilings, revamping the original stained glass windows, and investing money into the main structure while still giving it a modern interior.
The outside of the church remains untouched other than the addition of a few skylights on the rooftop.
There’s no way you wouldn’t want to live here after you see what they’ve done to it:
The church, located in Kyloe, Northumberland UK, was completely abandoned until now. The entire property has 1 acre of land, 4/5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 reception rooms, 2 kitchens and an open-concept living area.

But once you walk in, you realize how completely stunning it is…Not only does it have incredibly high ceilings, but it’s kept the church’s arches.
The dining room is among some of the most stunning stained glass windows.
It’s also got a french bathroom with an epic view. Imagine taking a bubble bath here?
Waking up every day in this room would be a dream
The guest room is simpler, but still as stunning.
The staircase still gives off that warm, church-like vibe.
